Dennis L. Kelly has been a Professor of Marine Science,    working for the Orange Coast College, Marine Science
Department since 1974.  His teaching duties include: 
Oceanography Lecture and Lab - MS 100 & MS 100L;
Marine Biology Lecture and Lab - MS 180 & MS 180 L;
Coastal Oceanography Lecture and Lab; MS 185 & MS
185L; Marine Mammals Class - MS 187; and the Marine
Aquarium Class - MS 120.  Currently, Professor Kelly is
department chair- person; director of the Orange Coast
College Public Aquarium; and the director of the Coastal Dolphin Survey Project.

During Fall Semester 2004, Professor Kelly was named   
"Teacher of the Year" for 2004 - 2005 by vote of the faculty
  of Orange Coast College.  Kelly gave a speech on Tueday,
  April 12, 2005 at Student Lounge inside the Student Center
  at Orange Coast College.  The title of his lecture was:
  "Warm Blood, Cold Sea - What the whales and dolphins
  have taught me in the last 30 years?"
