   A little bit of history:

On November, 2002 Orange Coast College was donated a 36 acre island
(Rabbit Island) by Mr. Henry Wheeler. Rabbit Island is located off the
central east coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Rabbit Island has a large lodge already built on it, with a kitchen, dining
room, a large living room, bed rooms, and bathroom.  In addition, there
are four large cabins  with additional sleeping facilites.  The island comes
equpped with its own solar electrical generation system, water
desalination/purification system, sewage treatment facility, docks, storage
  shed, and trails.
